Does this look familiar? Well if it does it probably means you are a shitty parent or you have friends or family that are shitty parents! Now this picture could be a joke and taken way out of context but the alarming rate of terrible fucking parents is NOT a joke. When Lizzy and I were going over what we would discuss this week on our podcast she thought that we should tackle the subject of parenting since she had just seen and heard some disturbing things about some of the parents she knows. I was a little worried that we would not be able to really talk about that for an hour but after we got going it seemed like we could have went on for days.
The way the world is turning it is not looking good for the future. Im not a Jesse Jackson ass, save the world ass nigga but DAMN! This shit is really fucked up! When I see a teenage mother I cringe thinking "...is that little boy she is holding all crazy gonna end up robbing one of my kids one day?" It is so easy to blame the dads not being there but if you could travel back in time you would notice that the dads were never there. They were always off hunting, protecting the land and protecting his "village". It was the mothers, daughters, aunts and grandmothers that were left to raise the families. So when I hear women complain now about not having a man around I damn near lose it. That is a cop out to me. I know many women who have raised their kids, mostly by themselves and did a helluva job. And no Im not letting men off the hook completely. You niggas need to at least spend some time with your children if you can not take care of them financially. How can you call yourself a man and not have ANYTHING to do with your children? They need more than money from you, they need your love, your support and most of all your guidance. You are a big part of the reason that women dont do well in relationships. If they would have had their dad in their life they would have learned how to treat a man properly and what type of things to do and not to do. All Im saying is this is an ongoing issue they may never be solved completely. If we, the "village" step up and do our best to encourage parents, especially young women to do better and seek help if needed then they will know we all care. This may save your baby girl Monica from hoppin' on that pole or lil' T from killing one of us someday.
Im just sayin!
As always thank you for eyes and ears!
Enjoy!
